Role Description

We are seeking a Paid Peer Supporter to join our team in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a community-based setting, providing breastfeeding and infant feeding support to families.

About the Project

The NCT Birth Feeding and You project offers infant feeding and emotional wellbeing support in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. Our team works closely with local authorities, healthcare providers, and community organisations to deliver this service.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our team to deliver peer support services to families in community settings and postnatal wards. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing breastfeeding and perinatal peer support to parents and families
  2. Delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters
  3. Reporting concerns or additional support needs to the management team
  4. Attending regular supervision/support sessions
  5. Collecting data as required, including case studies and narrative of work on the wards
