Infrastructure Specialist - Workplace Technology Services

This role requires a high level of technical expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

The successful candidate will work a 12 hour, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (Days and nights 7-7) and be responsible for building, maintaining and troubleshooting our data centre infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rack and stack network and server hardware in data centre halls and co-lo's.
  • Perform network hardware break-fix activities, including replacing power supplies, modules and fans.
  • Carry out patching and jumpering activities, including voice and data cables.
  • Test and troubleshoot copper and fibre cabling infrastructure, including ISDN line tests.
  • Document existing cabling installations and desktop configurations.
  • Utilise cable management software for patching planning.
  • Provide connectivity support to desktop users.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a data centre and office environment.
  • Experience in installation, moves adds and changes environment (IT hardware deployment).
  • Experience in structured cabling installation, fault finding and testing with Fluke test equipment.
  • Good knowledge of structured cabling standards and cable types.
  • Self-starter, organised, detailed-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of asset management systems and ticketing systems.
  • An understanding of complex change management and service delivery processes.
  • Ability to lead / supervise shift activities.

$45,000 - $55,000 per annum depending on experience.
