We are seeking a talented Healthcare Publishing Professional to join our team at Macmillan Publishers in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality scientific content for various audiences and contributing to the success of our medical education projects.

Key Responsibilities:- To write and edit scientific content for a range of different audiences, according to client needs, deadline, budget, and internal quality standards, as directed by the senior team
- Interpret and follow a brief from a client or senior team member, delivering content in line with the project objectives and in the appropriate tone and format to meet the brief, following the agreed timeline and within the hours and budget assigned to the task
- Demonstrate consistent awareness of all aspects of a project, including the different tasks and roles required for successful delivery, while following the planned project timeline
- Represent the editorial team in all aspects of project planning, determining tasks required for delivery, and communicating effectively with other team members to ensure successful delivery of the project
- Research and generate content in varied formats as determined by the project, including but not limited to: PowerPoint slides; Word documents; eLearning modules; animations; podcasts; infographics; web sites
- Be a point of contact on matters of scientific content for clients, experts and internal staff
- Accurately record actual time spent on a project against budgeted time, and complete timesheets in a timely manner
- Monitor utilisation rate so that it is 95% on average
Salary: £52,000 per annum
