Law Costs Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious individual to join our growing national team as a Law Costs Draftsman. This is an excellent opportunity to work on the preparation of Bills of Costs for Detailed/Provisional Assessment, as well as litigation of bills through the Court process.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of Bills of Costs for Detailed/Provisional Assessment
- Litigation of bills through the Court process
- Advocacy at Court (if required and agreed with the Costs Partner)
- Leadership of a team of around 5 members
- Training of Trainee Law Costs Draftsmen
- Minimum one year experience working either in-house or for an external supplier of costs drafting services
- Basic knowledge of legal procedures
- Experience in one or more legal departments
- Ability to work in a pressurised and stressful environment
- Flexible approach enabling response to rapid changes in working schedules and priorities
- Clear communication with stakeholders across the business
- Desirable financial or legal qualifications (e.g. ILEX Part 1 Year 1)
- Desirable financial or law degree
