Law Costs Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious individual to join our growing national team as a Law Costs Draftsman. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the preparation of Bills of Costs for Detailed/Provisional Assessment, as well as the litigation of bills through the Court process.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare Bills of Costs for Detailed/Provisional Assessment
- Litigate bills through the Court process
- Advocate at Court as required and agreed with the Costs Partner
- Lead a team of around 5 members
- Trainee Law Costs Draftsmen
- Minimum one year experience working either in-house or for an external supplier of costs drafting services
- Basic knowledge of legal procedures
- Experience in one or more legal departments
- Ability to work in a pressurised and stressful environment
- Flexible approach enabling you to respond to rapid changes in working schedules and priorities
- Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders across the business
- Desirable financial or legal qualifications e.g. ILEX Part 1 Year 1
- Desirable Financial or law degree
