Care and Support Manager for Children

At The Cambian Group, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children in our residential homes across the UK. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care and Support Manager for Children to join our team in Halsham

About the Role

As a Care and Support Manager for Children, you will be responsible for ensuring that each young person in our care receives the highest level of support and care. This will involve developing comprehensive care plans, working with our team to deliver high-quality care, and maintaining high standards of care in line with our quality standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive care plans for each young person in our care
  • Work with our team to deliver high-quality care and support to young people
  • Maintain high standards of care in line with our quality standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose
  • Handle complaints and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people
  • Participate in care planning and review meetings as appropriate

Requirements and Experience

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Care and Support Manager for Children who has at least 2 years of experience in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years. You will also need to have a Level 3 in Children's Residential Care and a Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or be enrolled on the Level 5 within 6 months of starting in post). You will be efficient in planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership, and have confidence in effective spoken and written communication. You will also have knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
