Operations Director - Job Role:

Responsible for delivering company objectives in terms of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP) within a defined Business Group through the rigorous application of the Company Operating Model (NOM).

Contributing to the site strategy through the Hoshin Kanri (Strategy Deployment) process and ensuring its execution in the Business Group.

Take ownership when having to make difficult decisions linked to the Business Group.

Holding functional support staff accountable for adhering to business standards and enabling their team to meet their targets.

Displaying activist leadership in Problem Solving using a 'Go to Gemba' approach, with the ambition that 98% of issues can be solved within the Business Group itself.

Safety

  • Exemplifying a safety-first mindset ensuring the company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) framework, standards, and policies are adhered to.

Quality

  • Ensuring Cell Leaders and Team Members follow manufacturing methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain product conformance and traceability.
  • Ensuring Cell Leaders and Team Members perform component quality checks using calibrated measuring equipment.

Cost

  • Managing the allocated Business Group financial budget.
  • Ensuring assets are maintained with a 'brand new forever' mindset through the deployment and adherence to the site Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system.
  • Providing input to Capex projects.

People

  • Developing first-class Cell Leaders who are readily able to progress to become a future Group Leader or take other roles in the business.
  • Being open, honest, and timely when appraising and managing individuals' performance whilst supporting and coaching the closure of performance gaps.
