Experienced Maintenance Technologist

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and experience in electrical systems and automation. As an Experienced Maintenance Technologist, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems and variable speed drives.
You will work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and other technical staff to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and control system principles, with a focus on variable speed drives, pumps, and motors.
The salary for this role is approximately £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, pension contribution, OT paid outside of core hours, and a company van supplied.
Responsibilities:- Install and configure control systems, variable speed drives, and associated control panels.
- Perform field wiring, cable installation, and termination for control equipment and instrumentation.
- Commission variable speed drives, ensuring proper configuration for motor control, speed regulation, and system optimization.
- Conduct on-site testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification of installed systems.
- Integrate control systems with existing SCADA and telemetry systems for remote monitoring and control.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with controls, automation systems, and variable speed drives in industrial applications.
- Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and commissioning VSDs and control panels.
- Knowledge of water treatment or pumping systems is highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of electrical and control system principles, with a focus on variable speed drives, pumps, and motors.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
