Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Developer to join our team at Zipabout. As a Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the frontend web views powering our product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining the frontend web views using advanced JavaScript and ES6+.
  • Working with back-end developers to integrate RESTful APIs.
  • Delivering pixel-perfect visual code, online and inline.
  • Managing workflow with project managers to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Contributing to the general standard of front-end within the company.
  • Taking ownership of improving and maintaining the frontend code to a good standard.
  • Thoroughly reviewing own and peer's tests to minimize issues picked up by the team.
  • Working with the UX design team to ensure the frontend views are consistent with the style guide.

Vital Experience

We are looking for a candidate with advanced JavaScript and ES6+ experience, especially React (3 years + experience). Additionally, you should have advanced HTML5 and SCSS skills, with excellent attention to detail. Knowledge of AWS Lambda and CloudWatch is desirable but not required.

Requirements

  • Advanced JavaScript and ES6+ experience.
  • Advanced HTML5 and SCSS skills.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
  • Experience writing unit tests to build robust code.
  • Knowledge of Node.js.
  • Ability to write code with scalability, readability, and maintainability in mind.

Location

We operate a hybrid working environment, and this role can be carried out at home or in the office. However, we do need you to be able to attend the office 2-3 times a week based in the Midlands, Solihull. You must be UK-based, and applications from outside the UK cannot be considered.
