- Financial Analysis: Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic goals.
- Financial Controls: Implement strong controls to protect assets and ensure compliance.
- Tax Compliance: Stay on top of VAT, corporation tax, and payroll taxes to keep us fully compliant.
- Treasury Management: Optimize cash flow and working capital.
- Financial Systems: Oversee the maintenance and improvement of financial systems and software.
- Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in finance management, ideally within a contracting business.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- In-depth understanding of UK financial regulations and tax laws.
- Desirable:
- ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience in start-ups or small businesses.
- Comfort working remotely or in a flexible setting.
