We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Service Department. This role will be based at our Carlisle depot and will cover both our Carlisle and Dumfries outlets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily scheduling within the Service Department to ensure efficient job completion.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer technical and commercial enquiries.
  • Verify that jobs have accurate information and job stories are ready for invoicing.
  • Add suggested repair, PDI, and servicing time to all jobs.
  • Foster a culture that promotes incremental service opportunities and ensures all opportunities are followed up.
  • Provide quotes for internal and external service work efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure customer satisfaction through phone calls to customers.
  • Ensure that all manufacturer warranty and Product Improvement Program (PIP) requirements are met in a timely manner.

  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide team members.
  • Excellent communication and human relations skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Agricultural background or relevant experience.
  • Effective time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Service Department operations.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products.
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience in Service Department operations.
  • Essential: Full UK Driving Licence.

Job Type and Hours:

  • Full-time, permanent position with Monday to Friday working hours, plus overtime as required and Saturdays on a rota basis.

  • Carlisle and Dumfries depots, with the role based at Carlisle.

Salary:

  • Salary dependent on experience.

Pay: £40,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
