Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at Clark Door Limited. As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating production processes, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery, managing teams of operators, and maintaining product quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
* Coordinate with production planning teams to meet output and quality goals.
* Identify areas for improvement in productivity and implement solutions to optimise production.

Supervision and Leadership:

* Schedule and allocate work, ensuring optimal resource utilisation and meeting production targets.
* Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Ensure that the production area and all employees comply with health and safety regulations.

Quality Assurance:

* Ensure that products meet established quality standards and that mechanical systems operate without defect.
* Collaborate with the relevant departments to troubleshoot product defects and improve process quality.
* Maintain accurate records of production performance and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

* Qualified in a relevant field – joiner, welding & fabrication, or engineering (E).
* A proven history of working in a manufacturing environment (E).
* Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in manufacturing (E).
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with a high standard of written and spoken English.
* Strong team management skills.
* Good time management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and appropriately prioritise tasks.

Personal Qualities:

* Ambitious and committed to own personal training and development.
* Flexible approach to work tasks with a willingness to support the business where required.
* Satisfactory DBS and reference checks.

Working Conditions:

* This position is typically based in a manufacturing plant and may require occasional travel to other company facilities or customer locations.
* The role may involve working evenings and weekends, to meet production deadlines or address urgent issues.
* Full UK driving licence.
