About the Role

General Assembly is seeking a skilled Career Coach to support students and graduates in their job search and career development. As a Career Coach, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our students have a smooth transition from the classroom to the workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and counsel students and graduates on their job search and career development, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Develop and deliver content to educate students and graduates on skills needed to perform an effective job search, including resume building, interviewing, and networking.
  • Work with teams at General Assembly to create new student-facing resources and highlight updates as needed, ensuring that our curriculum and resources are aligned with industry needs.
  • Track student progress and identify areas for improvement, working with stakeholders to ensure that we are putting quality, qualified graduates into our community.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years' experience in digital recruitment, ideally in UX, Software Engineering, or Data Analytics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with Slack, Zoom, Google Meet, Canvas, and Google Slides is a plus.
