Job Title: Digital Solution Delivery Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Solution Delivery Lead to join our Digital Policing Innovation Team at West Yorkshire Police. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of digital solutions that support the policing needs of our communities.

About the Role

The Digital Policing Innovation Team is responsible for the innovative implementation, customization, and delivery of digital products and solutions that support all areas of policing in West Yorkshire. We are a diverse team of individuals who work collaboratively to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of digital solutions that meet the policing needs of our communities
  • Work with the Digital Delivery Manager to coordinate the effective and efficient design, delivery, and implementation of digital projects
  • Manage and coordinate the identification and tracking of business benefits, including the development of benefit profiles and highlighting interdependencies with the wider Digital Policing programme and West Yorkshire Combined Authority
  • Direct and influence force Business Project Leads, Information Asset Owners/Assistants, and Departmental Senior Leadership Teams to scope, inform, and manage the technological transition process in line with force priorities and embed technology in the future shape of their functional area
  • Manage and coordinate the effective and efficient design, delivery, and implementation of digital projects, including the use of project management techniques such as Scrum, DSDM, and Agile
Requirements
  • Related relevant degree or equivalent experience in innovative delivery of technologies
  • Previous supervisory management experience, with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct staff
  • Demonstrated experience of supplier/vendor management
  • Ability to operate in a consultancy role
  • Knowledge and experience of project management, including Agile, DSDM, and Scrum methodologies
  • Proven experience of successfully influencing senior management and leadership
  • Ability to interpret business needs, technical requirements, and system specifications into tender documentation and oversee implementation
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct project teams comprising internal stakeholders
  • Experience of using Microsoft Project or similar project management software
