Job Summary

The Medical Doctor Degree Apprenticeship is an exciting opportunity to embark on a rewarding career in medicine while gaining valuable work experience in a clinical setting. As a Medical Doctor Degree Apprentice, you will be employed by East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust and released for academic study to Anglia Ruskin University School of Medicine.

About the Role

As a Medical Doctor Degree Apprentice, you will work in a variety of rotational non-clinical roles in secondary and primary care settings, supporting the wider development in medical training. You will have the opportunity to work in different departments, gaining a broad understanding of the healthcare system and developing your clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in rotational non-clinical roles in secondary and primary care settings

• Support the wider development in medical training

• Develop clinical skills and knowledge

Requirements

• A*-C in Maths & English GCSE (ESFA approved qualification)

• A*-B in Science GCSE + 1 other Subject (ESFA approved qualification)

• Option 1 - A*AA - A levels which include 2 sciences (achieved post 2019)

• Option 2 - ABB - A levels which include 2 sciences (WAMS)

• Option 3 - T Level (Health or Healthcare Science) - Distinction Grade - scoring minimum grade A in 'core component' & minimum Merit grade in 'specialism' (achieved post 2019)

• Option 4 - T Level (Health or Healthcare Science) - Merit Grade - scoring minimum grade B in 'core component' and minimum Merit in 'specialism' (WAMS - achieved post 2019)

• Option 5 - 'Access to HE Diploma (Medicine)' (achieved post 2019) (30 Distinction & 15 Merit) (achieved post 2019)

• 2:1 or above in a university approved Science or Allied Health degree (achieved post 2019)

• 2:1 or above degree in a non-Science / Allied Health subject (achieved post 2019)
