Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Medical Doctor Degree Apprenticeship programme. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of non-clinical roles within our organisation, while also pursuing a degree in medicine at Anglia Ruskin University.

About the Programme

The Medical Doctor Degree Apprenticeship is a 5-year programme that combines work experience with academic study. You will be employed by East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust and released for academic study to Anglia Ruskin University School of Medicine. The programme is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system and the skills required to become a medical doctor.

Key Responsibilities

As an apprentice, you will be responsible for:

  • Working in a variety of non-clinical roles within our organisation, including clinical coding, ward clerk, human resources administrator, and patient advice liaison officer.
  • Attending university to study for a degree in medicine.
  • Participating in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be eligible for this programme, you must:

  • Have a strong academic record, including GCSEs in English, maths, and science.
  • Have achieved a minimum of A*AA in A-levels, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Have a demonstrable commitment to the people and services of East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
