About the Role

We Are Survivors is seeking a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist to join our team as a Trauma Informed Therapist. The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Counselling/Psychotherapy and be registered with BACP or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality assured trauma-informed survivor-centric therapy services in line with our organisational model and pathways.
  • Engage in peer-support of OUT Spoken Services staff and accurately record OUT Spoken interventions.
  • Attend internal meetings and engage with relevant external meetings to influence and input accordingly.
  • Keep informed of changes in policy at local and national levels and undertake specific OUT Spoken projects as directed.

About Us

We Are Survivors has provided survivor-focused therapeutic and advocacy support to male victims and survivors of sexual abuse, rape, and sexual exploitation for nearly sixteen years. We have developed a three-tiered approach to services and underpin everything we do with a trauma and recovery framework pioneered by Dr Judith Herman.

What We Offer

The successful candidate will receive an annual salary of £27,810, 25 days annual leave (increasing annually by 1 day to max of 30 days) plus bank holidays, birthday leave, company sick pay, monthly clinical supervision, pension contribution, and access to different benefit schemes.
