About the Role

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. As a Speech and Language Therapist Specialist, you will work with children and young people aged 0-19 with diverse needs, providing clinical and management supervision, specialist support, and continuing professional development.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for assessing and developing therapy plans for children with complex communication needs, working closely with colleagues in health, education, and social care to provide a child-centred service. Your expertise will be essential in managing children with challenging behaviours and providing independent specialist leadership.

Requirements

  • Professional Degree or equivalent in Speech & Language Therapy
  • Current Professional Registration with HCPC
  • Evidence of formal training / self-study / specialist experience to post graduate level
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage children with challenging behaviours
  • Able to work independently as lead specialist
