Project Engineer / Technical Support

Your Job

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer / Technical Support professional to join our team at Vandewiele. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical support to customers via phone, email, and support tickets.
  • Testing new software releases to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Installing software remotely and on-site at customer locations.
  • Managing projects from start to finish, including commissioning new systems, training customers, and providing sales support.

Your Profile

We are looking for a self-motivated and team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be able to travel frequently within the UK and abroad. Experience in manufacturing, particularly in textiles or plastics, is an advantage. Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems and Office applications is also required.

Additional Experience

While training will be provided, experience or knowledge in the following areas will be beneficial:

  • Manufacturing: textiles (e.g. spinning, weaving, knitting), plastics (e.g. injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming).
  • IT skills: networking, databases (Oracle/SQL Server), Microsoft Windows Server OS, XML, HTML, SQL, Power BI, Cloud Systems, virtualization, scripting.
  • Additional foreign languages.
