System Administrator Lead

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator Lead to join our team in Glasgow. This permanent role involves working hybrid, with 3 expected office days per week and the remaining days working from home.

As a System Administrator Lead, you will be responsible for leading our team of system administrators, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the smooth operation of our business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews releases, upgrades, security patches, and fixes available from system software suppliers and identifies those which merit action.
  • Initiates, designs, and produces new course materials within own area of technical specialisation(s) in response to changing demands.
  • Delivers learning activities to colleagues with a wide variety of competence and experience, covering relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills using a wide variety of methods, tools, online environments, equipment, and materials.
  • Tailors and configures system software to ensure that functionality is exploited in line with business needs.
  • Investigates potential and actual service problems and recommends solutions.
  • Collects performance data to monitor system efficiency against published service level agreements.
