Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Recovery Worker to join our team in Tunbridge Wells. As a Recovery Worker, you'll play a vital role in engaging and assessing individuals using our service, ensuring they receive personalized interventions tailored to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide unwavering support to service users from initial contact to treatment and recovery journey.
  • Implement tailored interventions to reduce harm caused by opiate use, including group sessions and one-on-one engagement.
  • Ensure service users receive comprehensive recovery-focused detoxification plans, including pre-detox preparation and post-care support.
  • Collaborate with other organizations and the community to enhance recovery resources available to service users.
  • Advocate for service user involvement and access to partnership services.
  • Facilitate social reintegration, promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
  • Work closely with partner agencies to achieve best outcomes for clients, including GPs and pharmacists.
  • Offer community-based clinics for clients.

Requirements

  • Possess knowledge and experience in delivering interventions for service users affected by substances and mainly opiate use.
  • Excel in verbal and written communication, with proficient IT skills.
  • Demonstrate proactive qualities, working independently with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Hold a strong understanding of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • Thrive as a supportive team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Exhibit ability to navigate change effectively, prioritizing service user needs.
  • Recognize the significance of information governance processes and commit to adhering to necessary safeguards.
  • Pursue continuous learning opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills, contributing to team growth and development.
  • Have business insurance if driving.
