About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Practitioner to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a Salaried General Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our primary care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients, working collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our primary care services, identifying areas for growth and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
  • Work closely with our community health team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of our team's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practise and entry on the GP Register.
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice / Certificate Confirming Eligibility for General Practice Registration (CEGPR), or equivalent.
  • Included on a Medical Performers List or eligible.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Holder of MRCGP (desirable).
  • Experience in general practice and working in a multi-disciplinary team (essential).
  • Experience of using electronic clinical patient records (desirable).
  • Eligibility for minor surgery, obstetrics, family planning accreditation (desirable).
  • Experience of undertaking audit in general practice (desirable).
Personal Qualities
  • Able to present logical, well-thought-through arguments.
  • Able to provide evidence-based solutions to problems and issues.
  • Genuine commitment to improve quality in primary care.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of the GMS contract.
  • Facilitation skills (desirable).
  • Ability to speak Welsh (desirable).
