The National Distribution Centre (NDC) Manager plays a critical role in ensuring a resilient supply chain for St John Ambulance. This position is responsible for implementing and managing systems, processes, and personnel within the NDC warehouse. The NDC Manager is accountable for ensuring that stock is received, stored, managed, and dispatched appropriately, including quality control checks as required.
Key Responsibilities- Plan workloads to ensure goods are received, processed, stored, and delivered in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, charity processes, and customer/supplier KPIs.
- Create and deliver continuous development and improvement plans with people and processes to drive operational excellence across the warehouse.
- Owning the delivery and associated change process of new business or existing customer changes through effective communication to all affected NDC personnel.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual who possesses:
- GCSE level or equivalent education, including Maths and English.
- Demonstrable line management experience in a busy warehouse or distribution centre environment.
- Demonstrable experience of working in accordance with quality assurance standards and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- A full UK manual driving licence with a minimum of 1 year's driving experience and no more than 3 penalty points.
