Job Description

Our client, a leading Rail company, is seeking an experienced Project Director to join their dynamic Property team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of critical infrastructure projects, focusing on enhancing customer experience and accessibility.

This is an initial contract, outside IR35, with a competitive daily rate. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of 3-4 projects, each valued between £3-5 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the project lifecycle from tender evaluation through to completion
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Mentor and guide Assistant Project Managers to support their professional development
  • Maintain project documentation, budgets, and schedules

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of project management experience within the Rail industry
  • Strong understanding of rail terminology, processes, and project lifecycle
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements

Desirable Skills:

  • High emotional intelligence and ability to build strong relationships
  • Adaptable and able to compromise when necessary to achieve project goals
