The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maritime Civil Engineer to join our Edinburgh team. As a key member of our Maritime Team, you will be responsible for developing engineering design solutions for maritime civil engineering structures and elements. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering projects that meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare designs and analyses for maritime and associated structures, from initial concepts through to detailed designs.
  • Collect and collate design data, conduct inspections and surveys, and produce sketch drawings and details for CAD drafting.
  • Undertake structural analyses and reporting, and provide engineering judgment and advice.
  • Commercial and technical management of projects within the office, ensuring projects show a profitable result and are completed to an agreed programme.
  • Contribute to the development of the client base of our UK maritime team through the production of proposals.
Requirements
  • Civil or Structural Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
  • Background in Maritime structures.
  • Based in Edinburgh and willing to travel occasionally throughout the UK and overseas.
About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic and experienced team of port and marine structures designers, led by our Associate Director. Our Edinburgh office is part of a larger UK maritime team across 5 UK offices.
