Company Overview

Your new company is a leading construction business based in the North West region, with an extensive national footprint and customer base. As a key member of the local finance team, you will play a vital role in supporting the group's internal and external reporting processes.

About the Role

  • You will be responsible for providing technical accounting analysis, leading discussions with audit specialists, and managing information requests during the year-end audit process.
  • Manage areas of technical accounting, including IFRS 15 revenue analysis, IFRS 16 lease accounting, and disclosure reviews.
  • Work closely with external tax advisors to complete consolidated corporation tax workings for the Group.
  • Consolidate the Group tax provision (corporation & deferred tax) and prepare disclosure information for the consolidated group accounts and statutory accounts for subsidiaries.
  • Manage technical VAT items, including irrecoverable VAT, options to tax submissions, and zero-rating analysis.
  • Assist with the preparation of UK VAT and CIS returns, as well as other compliance obligations.
  • Manage the tax risk register for the Group.

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA technical financial accountant with previous experience working within the construction sector.
  • Able to start immediately or at short notice.

What You'll Get

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
