Construction Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Assess and report project progress, acting to rectify matters, and taking the lead on the escalation process if necessary.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities, including takeover testing, are defined in the commissioning plan, satisfactorily completed, and recorded.
  • Manage the identification and resolution of snags, and after Takeover, liaise with Operators and contractors to manage the defects, aftercare process, and performance testing.
  • Monitor, agree, and approve Take Over tests with the project team.
  • Ensure that required project documentation meets our specifications and approve information for taking over.
  • Work as an active member of one or more project teams with one or more of our contractors.

What You'll Bring:

  • A background within an engineering environment or an Engineering Degree or HNC.
  • A significant Health and safety qualification, such as National Examination Board in Occupational Safety or Institution of Occupational Safety and Health or Construction Certificate, or be willing to gain one.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to interact with our stakeholders and contractors.
  • Foster a positive Health and safety culture within the team and contractors, ensuring we assert all environmental and Health and safety statutory obligations.

  • Competitive salary from £40,000 to £48,000 per annum.

  • 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays).
