Construction Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Construction Assurance Engineer to join our team at Thames Water Utilities Limited. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects, identifying and mitigating risks, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design and delivery reviews, identifying potential risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Assess and report on project progress, taking the lead on the escalation process if necessary.
- Ensure commissioning activities, including takeover testing, are defined, completed, and recorded.
- Manage the identification and resolution of snags, and after takeover, liaise with operators and contractors to manage defects and performance testing.
- Monitor, agree, and approve takeover tests with the project team.
- Ensure project documentation meets specifications and approve information for takeover.
Requirements
- Background in an engineering environment or engineering degree/HNC.
- Significant health and safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or Construction Certificate) or willingness to gain one.
- Driven, resilient, and tenacious under pressure, with a focus on delivering projects on time, cost, and quality.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to interact with stakeholders and contractors.
- Foster a positive health and safety culture within the team and contractors, ensuring compliance with environmental and health and safety statutory obligations.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary from £40,000 to £48,000 per annum.
- 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with length of service (plus bank holidays).
