About the Role

This Lifeguard Sports Assistant position is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment at The University of Salford's Sports Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of facility users and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Carry out Swimming Pool Lifeguard duties, including administering first aid as required.
  2. Play a key role in developing and maintaining high standards of customer service.
  3. Assist in the organization and promotion of events and activities at University Sports facilities.
  4. Set up and dismantle equipment for events and activities.
What You Need to Know

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or be willing to obtain one.
  • The ability to swim 50 meters front and back, and submerge to the bottom of a 2-metre pool.
