We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fire Door Factory Night Shift Supervisor to join our team at London Fire Solutions. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and supervise a team of joiners and CNC operatives to ensure efficient and effective production.
- Implement and maintain Health & Safety systems to ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage the maintenance and effective use of all machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement good 'house-keeping' practices in all areas of manufacturing.
- Coach and develop team members to achieve high performance.
- Manage all factory manufacturing activities on a nightly basis, including liaison with production manager and managing director.
- Hold weekly production meetings to discuss requirements and changes.
- Assign jobs to workshop labour and ensure clear understanding of requirements.
- Ensure works are completed within set timescales and delivery dates are met.
- Quality management ISO 9001:2008, ensuring manufactured items meet specification and quality standards.
- Identify and implement ideas to improve efficiencies.
- Responsible for on-going training and development of joinery/manufacturing staff.
- Ensure time sheets are accurately completed, collected weekly and signed off.
- Undertake interviews for production staff candidates.
- 5 years' experience in joinery.
- 3 years' experience in fire door manufacturing (preferred).
- CSCS (preferred).
- United Kingdom work authorisation.
