Opogo Careers: Teaching and Learning Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching and Learning Support Professional to join our team and provide high-quality support to students, teachers, and other staff members. As a Teaching and Learning Support Professional, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement effective learning strategies.

Job Overview:

  • Implement IEPs under the guidance of teachers to promote student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop effective learning strategies for students.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students through various activities and interventions.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support to create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students to address their specific needs and goals.
  • Prepare and organise learning materials and resources to support student learning and progress.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers and other relevant staff members.
  • Support students during school activities, outings, and events to promote their engagement and participation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.

Estimated Salary: £27,000 - £37,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
