Academic Support Professional

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at Opogo. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of teachers
- Support the social and emotional development of students
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
- Prepare and organise learning materials and resources
- Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers
- Support students during school activities, outings, and events
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support student needs
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge and understanding of SEND practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
