Financial Operations Assistant

Watergate Bay Head Office is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial processes and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collate and account for daily transactions and routines across the business, including revenue recognition
  • Process payments for the group of companies and analyze bank transactions
  • Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations and accurate processing of journals into Sage
  • Manage accounts payable and payable processing, reconciling supplier statements to the purchase ledger
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and reconciled aged creditors listings and prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
  • Identify and implement better ways of working within the Finance Team to improve effectiveness, timeliness, and accuracy of outputs
  • Assist with process documentation and other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the business
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in finance and using accounting systems (Sage preferred)
  • Organized and structured to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
  • Able to work well with other team members and at times independently
  • Upbeat and positive attitude, flexible, and able to prioritize tasks to achieve overall Finance Team and Company goals
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel user
