About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Ambulance Vehicle Preparation Operative at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust. As a key member of our operational support function, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and supporting our operations in meeting their targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Ambulance Service Vehicles in a prescribed and controlled way to ensure each ambulance is fully equipped and prepared to attend and treat a patient.
  • Conduct detailed cleaning and Infection Prevention and Control activities, checking and inspecting medical and lifting & handling equipment, restocking all consumables, and completing vehicle checks.
  • Prepare consumables, manage stock control, re-fuel and move vehicles across various locations, and record all daily activities.
  • Work individually and as part of a small team to achieve results and maintain effective housekeeping of garage and associated clinical areas.
Requirements
  • Driving license with full Category C1 entitlement, valid in the UK.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team, with a good eye for detail and ability to complete tasks and achieve results.
  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written, with basic IT skills (Email, Internet, Office) including hand-held data devices (Tablets, Telephones).
  • Ability to work unsocial hours on a 7-day/24-hour shift rota system, with a commitment to demonstrating the YAS values and behaviours.

Training and Development
