We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Child in Care Administrator to join our Student Support Welfare Team. The successful candidate will provide support to Virtual School Kent's Post 16 children in care, ensuring they make the best possible progress in learning, personal development, and academic achievement.
Main Responsibilities- Provide regular mentoring sessions for young people in care, supported by Virtual School Kent, to promote their learning and aspirations.
- Host Personal, Education, Planning meetings (PEPs) to ensure the care experienced cohort makes the best possible progress at MidKent College.
- Liaise closely with the education officer at Virtual Schools Kent to ensure effective support and guidance.
- Interact with the wider multidisciplinary safeguarding team in a busy office environment, dealing with complex and sensitive issues, and signposting to additional support as required.
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 4 and above (or equivalent).
- Proficient in the use of IT systems and applications.
- Excellent communication skills and command of English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to deal sensitively with young people, parents, and visitors.
