Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join their autism base in Brent.

About the Position

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting as soon as possible, with potential for permanence at the end of the academic year.

About the School

The autism base offers a supportive environment for pupils with autism, challenging behaviour, and learning disabilities. The facility provides access to sensory rooms and other essential tools to cater to the unique needs of students.

With a maximum capacity of 12 children, the school ensures a personalized approach to education. ARP pupils integrate into mainstream classes based on individual levels of need, fostering socialization and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop tailored plans for pupils with Autism
  • Support and manage challenging behaviour through personalized plans
  • Set and update targets for each child's progress
  • Collaborate with Speech and Language Therapists to enhance pupil outcomes
Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

  • Previous experience working within Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure and professional reference checks
  • A CV covering your employment history for the last 10 years
  • Legal right to work in the UK
