Our client, a leading Surface & Highways Company, is seeking a skilled Surfacing Contracts Manager to oversee asphalt surfacing projects across Wiltshire. The company offers a competitive salary up to £65,000, a company car, private medical, life assurance, and a bonus scheme.

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of asphalt surfacing contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage asphalt surfacing projects across the Midlands area
  • Commercial control working with the Quantity Surveyors
  • Management of operational employees ensuring the continuous development of skills by understanding training needs analysis
  • Carry out site inspections and audits in line with company requirements
  • Lead and motivate the highest standards of Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality culture, performance, and compliance
Requirements
  • Construction Management Qualification
  • A valid CSCS card
  • A proven track record of managing contracts in the surfacing industry or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors
  • Proactively and positively promote Health & Safety at all times
  • Strong negotiation skills on prime contracts
  • Commercial awareness, with a focus on controlling costs and optimizing value
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor
