The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing, ensuring that products are produced efficiently, effectively, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills to drive a high-performance culture and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and allocate manufacturing resources to meet production needs and deadlines.
- Ensure product quality meets customer expectations and industry standards.
- Develop and implement efficient management practices to drive team performance and engagement.
- Lead training and development activities to enhance team capabilities.
- Oversee the production team to achieve profitable and efficient operations, meeting deadlines while maintaining quality and cost.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Encourage evidence-based problem-solving to ensure prompt and effective issue resolution.
- Develop and track relevant KPIs to drive business performance and achieve objectives.
- Ensure compliance with business and quality management systems, including ISO9001.
- Ensure timely closure of audit actions.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement among production teams and apply best-practice manufacturing concepts to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and implement programs to boost productivity, reduce costs, and improve output.
- Promote and support the enhancement of workplace organization and productivity.
- Develop functional papers and processes that follow best practices.
- Support the NPI process and manage any impact on production through the Cell Leaders.
- Work with Finance to develop a budget for areas of responsibility.
- Manage budget for areas of responsibility.
- Collaborate with Engineering to prepare and manage CAPEX budget.
The role holder is accountable for supporting the company's policies, practices, and standards for health and safety, taking action on danger spots, and reporting near misses to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Requirements
- Proven team management experience, ideally in complex industrial settings.
- A proven track record of delivering efficiency gains through quality approaches, change management strategies, issue-solving techniques, and continuous improvement techniques.
- A hands-on understanding of relevant business KPIs to drive long-term performance gains.
