About the Role:
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for delivering the engineering strategy and managing the day-to-day operations of the Engineering function. The role involves leading project work, including machinery replacement, capex management, and team development to support the site's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budget Management: Manage revenue and capex budgets and identify investment requirements for asset improvements.
- Asset Care: Implement asset care strategies to maintain and enhance asset performance.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and establish engineering standards for the team.
- Contractor Management: Manage third-party contractors and service providers to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and manage best practice engineering planning processes and procedures to improve operational performance.
- Project Management: Develop and maintain project plans to ensure milestones are met.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Engineering and management qualifications are required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a senior management role, ideally within FMCG companies.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in developing and leading engineering teams, with strong leadership traits and project management skills.
- Multi-skilled engineering experience and lean manufacturing knowledge.
- Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence and access to a car are essential due to the location.
