Job Title: Aftersales Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Aftersales Service Engineer to join our team at Verto People. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites across the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned and preventative maintenance on compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, and other compressed air products.
  • Provide advice, diagnostics, and fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, and other compressed air products.
  • Maintain, repair, and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment across the Midlands.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
  • Install compressed air and pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
Requirements:
  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical engineering systems.
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar.
  • The ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Field servicing background in electrical or mechanical engineering such as compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, valves, pumps, motors, diesel engines, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics and/or electro-mechanical engineering equipment.
  • Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  • A technical engineering degree/qualification, BCAS DIPCAM, FGas or apprentice trained, would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel and commute to Birmingham occasionally to collect parts, etc.
