Control Systems & Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems & Software Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge control systems and software solutions for a variety of aerospace, automotive, defence, and motorsport applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems and software solutions for aerodynamic test equipment and other complex engineering applications.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to drive the development of new, innovative solutions.
  • Utilize your expertise in controls software and electronics to build systems for leading corporations in the UK and USA.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software and control systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to identify and resolve technical issues and improve overall system performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, electrical engineering, or software engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of modern high-level programming languages, including Delphi, C++, and C#.
  • Experience with Beckhoff PLC software and servo motor/motion control systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills, with the ability to interpret electrical drawings and documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated potential to grow into a management position, with a strong understanding of engineering lifecycle and business processes.
