We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Supervisor to work for one of our NHS clients in the Durham area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to delivering exceptional services.

Job Summary:

  • To effectively supervise and support the domestic & linen services team using available resources.
  • To monitor levels of cleanliness within the hospital environment and ensure adherence to National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021.
  • To manage departmental resources, maintain staffing rotas, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance and Compliance: Safely use chemicals, machinery, and PPE by staff under your control. Maintain departmental resources, stock, and equipment.
  2. Staff Management: Monitor staff attendance, sickness records, and time sheets according to Trust policies and procedures.
  3. Training and Development: Identify staff training needs using the client's appraisal system and organize relevant training.
  4. Reporting: Present collected information to the Head of Operational Services to facilitate effective budgetary resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • A valid Customer Service Level 2 or Equivalent Qualification/Experience.
  • A valid CMI Level 3 Diploma Team Leader/Supervisor/NVQ Level 3 Supervisory Qualification or Equivalent Level Experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervising experience.
