School Support Staff

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Support Staff member to join our successful supply team working with local Primary schools around Knowsley. As a School Support Staff member, you will be assisting individuals with learning difficulties and additional needs, while also supporting other pupils in the class and in the wider school context as required.

The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable and able to think on their feet, with a strong passion for working with children. You will be part of a close-knit team, working closely with experienced teachers and other support staff to provide high-quality support to students.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position, working 8:20 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The estimated salary for this role is £27,200-£33,640 per annum based on a 37 hour week, depending on experience.

  • You will be working with various schools in the Knowsley area, providing support to teachers and students with a range of needs.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with experienced teachers and develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment.
  • You will be required to hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Desirable experience working with some or all SEN such as ADHD, Behaviour, MLD, SLD, Dyslexia, and ASD.
  • A strong passion for working with children and a willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
