We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Program Lead to join our Renewals & Facilities Team at Network Rail High Speed Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and within budget.

Job Description:

The Engineering Program Lead will be accountable for the delivery of a portfolio of projects in a safe and environmentally responsible manner to time, cost, and quality. This includes leading, inspiring, directing, and developing specialist teams to deliver successful projects to meet route objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for delivery of a portfolio of projects in a safe & environmentally responsible manner to time, cost, and quality.
  • Lead, inspire, direct, and develop specialist teams to deliver successful projects to meet route objectives.
  • Direct and co-ordinate multi-disciplinary teams to identify cost-effective solutions to client requirements.
  • Manage and maintain project risk registers, ensuring that all identified risks are mitigated or managed accordingly.
  • Responsible for resource planning for current and projected work banks, including identification and management of critical resource requirements.
  • Engage with and lead stakeholder relationships, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests.
  • Establish and maintain governance arrangements for the delivery of projects, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Member of the Association for Project Management or equivalent, holding or working towards chartered status.
  • In-depth knowledge and previous experience of the application of Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills at all levels.
  • Successful relevant experience in a project environment, including team leadership, planning, contracting, and delivery of projects.
  • Demonstrable safety management practice in project delivery.
  • Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practice.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
