Director of Quality and Compliance

SF recruitment is seeking a Director of Quality and Compliance to join their manufacturing client based in Pershore.

Job Description:

The Director of Quality and Compliance will be responsible for overseeing quality functions and processes, supplier quality management, and the business QMS. They will work closely with Sourcing, Engineering, and Sales to ensure customer expectations are understood and achieved.

The role involves managing a team that includes a Quality team in the UK and an SQE in China. The Director of Quality and Compliance will oversee new product development through the business NPI process, ensuring all customer expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement long-term quality assurance strategies to reduce quality-associated risks.
  • Lead and manage the quality function, including line management of a quality team.
  • Maintain procedures and processes within an ISO9001 certified QMS.
  • Enforce consistent improvement across all sites, implementing new quality processes where necessary.
  • Represent the company in regards to quality, ensuring customer expectations are captured and communicated throughout relevant departments.
  • Monitor suppliers' product and process controls to ensure parts are delivered on time and meet quality requirements.

The successful candidate will have a Degree in a technical discipline or similar qualification/experience. They should have proven leadership of quality functions and strong communication skills. A strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, testing, and product qualification is essential.

The salary range for this position is £60,000 - £70,000 DOE, depending on experience. Regular international travel is required for this role.
