Senior Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Technician to join our Pharmacy Production Unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our MHRA licensed chemotherapy manufacturing unit.

1. Deputise for the Production Manager as required, providing leadership and guidance to the team.
2. Work closely with the Unit Co-ordinator to manage workload and allocate staff to ensure an efficient and high-quality service is provided.
3. Contribute to the maintenance and development of our Quality Management System (QMS), including participation in deviation, error, and change management.
4. Supervise and participate in aseptic manufacturing activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Ensure that all routine environmental monitoring and maintenance activities are carried out appropriately.
6. Participate in training of staff at all levels within the department, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Manage stock control systems within the department, ensuring adequate stocks are maintained and completing stock takes and reconciliation.
