Senior Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Technician to join our Pharmacy Production Unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our MHRA licensed chemotherapy manufacturing unit.

1. Deputise for the Production Manager as required, overseeing the day-to-day workload and ensuring a high-quality service is provided.
2. Work closely with the Unit Co-ordinator to manage workload and distribute staff effectively, ensuring an efficient and high-quality service is delivered.
3. Contribute to the maintenance and development of our Quality Management System (QMS), including participation in deviation, error, and change management.
4. Supervise and participate in aseptic manufacturing activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Ensure routine environmental monitoring and maintenance activities are carried out appropriately, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
6. Participate in training staff at all levels within the department, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
7. Manage stock control systems within the department, ensuring adequate stocks are maintained and completing stock takes and reconciliation.
