**Job Title:** Director of Process Optimization

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Process Optimization to join our team at GPW Recruitment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in process system design and delivery, with a minimum of 15 years' experience in the construction and process industries. They will be responsible for overseeing the production of process system designs, including validation of technical specifications, process calculations, and design reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all output from the process team complies with project specification and statutory regulation.
  • Oversee the production of process system designs, including validation of technical specifications, process calculations, and design reports.
  • Host design reviews of process systems to confirm alignment with specification.
  • Checking and approval of all process scopes of work and/or specifications.
  • Subject Matter Expert duties for all business operations.
  • Ensure project resources are scheduled and controlled accurately, forecasting duration to completion of task, reporting on time delivery (OTD), schedule adherence, and supporting the project team with budget control.
  • Raise requests for additional resource or changes to existing resource in a timely manner.
  • Prepare quotation estimates for robust delivery logic through department and ensure the department is tracking the execution on award.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to the projects and bids teams as required.
  • Ensure process element of project progress vs bid is monitored and provide a report summary to the Group Technical Director on a weekly basis.
  • Promote cost reduction, value engineering, standardisation, and risk reduction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum BEng (Hons) in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineering).
  • Minimum 15 years' experience of process system design and delivery.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing engineering teams on projects of value > £5m.
  • Strong knowledge of the construction & process industries and applicable standards.
  • Understanding of control system operating principles.
  • Experienced in effective Change Management implementation.
  • Planning, managing, and reporting project tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and committed to quality performance/output.

Estimated Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum.
