Job Title: Support Worker - Nights - Driving Licence Required
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Ashridge, a residential support service for adults with learning disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care and support to our residents, enabling them to live a healthier and happier life.
About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Providing support and care to residents with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and other complex needs
- Assisting residents with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
- Encouraging residents to participate in activities and engage in their community
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Supporting residents with challenging behaviors and providing de-escalation techniques
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A driving licence
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work flexibly, including nights and weekends
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide support to colleagues
