About the Role

We are seeking a caring and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Penderels Trust. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex needs, including epilepsy and autism.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide personal care and support to the individual, including toileting, showering, and getting dressed. You will also be responsible for supporting the individual with cooking and meal preparation, as well as administering medication.

In addition to providing personal care and support, you will also be responsible for developing a good and trusting working relationship with the individual. This will involve being patient, supportive, and caring, and providing non-judgmental emotional support.

We are looking for someone who is honest, reliable, and trustworthy, with good listening skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Previous experience in caring for individuals with epilepsy and autism is not essential, but it is desirable.

As a Support Worker, you will be required to undertake any necessary training, including moving and handling, first aid, and epilepsy awareness. You will also be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow infection control procedures.
